Privacy Notice/GDPR (How we use your/your child's information)  

The information that we process include: 

  • Your personal contact information (Students name, Parent/Guardian's name, contact number, home address and email address) 
  • Names of other emergency contacts who may collect the student on Parent/Guardian's behalf 
  • Medical information 
  • Attendance (such as sessions attended, number of absences)  
  • Classes paid/not paid 

This list is not exhaustive and can be amended at any time to reflect any relevant changes. 

Why we collect and use your information 

We collect and use your/your child's information, for the following purposes: 

  1. To keep students safe (food allergies, or emergency contact details)  
  2. To monitor and report on student progress   
  3. To assess the quality of our services 
  4. To keep up to date with class fees paid/not paid 

   

How we collect your/your child's information 

We collect your/your child's information via a 3rd party company (Class4kids). This company are GDPR Compliant.

This data is essential for the schools’ operational use. Whilst the majority of the information you provide to us is mandatory, some of it requested on a voluntary basis. In order to comply with the data protection legislation, we will inform you at the point of collection, whether you are required to provide certain information to us or if you have a choice in this.  

How we store data 

We hold data securely for the duration of time that your child attends our school. Consent forms will remain stored securely even if your child leaves our school, but any registration forms/personal information will be destroyed after 3 years of your child leaving the school. 

Who we share your/your child's information with 

Your/your child's information will not be shared with 3rd party companies without your consent. Information will be shared with any teachers/assistants within our school to ensure the safety of students and smooth running of classes.  

Requesting access to your personal data 

Under data protection legislation, parents and students have the right to request access to information about them that we hold. To make a request for your personal information, contact nb.dance@outlook.com

  

You also have the right to: 

  • object to processing of personal data that is likely to cause, or is causing, damage or distress 
  • prevent processing for the purpose of direct marketing 
  • object to decisions being taken by automated means

  • a right to seek redress, either through the ICO, or through the courts
